GLEN OAKS VOLINTEER AMBULANCE YOUTH CORPS

WHO WE ARE...
The Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Youth Corps is comprised of neighborhood teens with the common goal of assisting their community. The current focus of the Youth Corps is training, and it is likely to remain throughout the program. At this time, Youth Corps advisors are hoping to have members riding the ambulances by the age of 15 with Basic Life Support certification, however, currently 16 is the minimum age for a youth crew member to start riding. Upcoming events of the Youth Corps include further fundraising efforts, and a realistic Multiple Casualty Incident training drill. There are several Youth Corps advisors including Edward Pearce, Dave Mader, Karen Malone, Chris Kass, Elyane Price; and the Youth Corps Captain is Steven Torem, Chris Benson web page designer and member of the youth corps. All can be reached for comment at the corps business phone number, (718) 347-1637 or e-mail
